Surgical Oncology Position | Beautiful Lewiston, Idaho | St. Joseph RMC

 

St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center is actively recruiting a full-time Oncology Surgeon (Surgical Oncologist) to join our established surgical team. As a 145-bed general acute care hospital, we are the largest full-service regional medical center between Boise, Idaho, and Spokane, Washington. With a Level III Trauma Center and more than 100 board‑certified physicians and providers in both primary care and specialty disciplines, we deliver advanced-level specialty healthcare to ensure every patient, and their loved ones have everything they need to feel comforted, every step of their journey.

About the position:

  • Schedule: M-F 36h patient facing with 4h/wk. admin time  
  • 2 days clinic and 2-3 days OR
  • ~60 patients week in clinic
    Call: 1:4 10 days/month in contract; not required to be in-house
  • Eligible for additional pay for call over 10 days/month
  • Clinic call requirement: telephone only
  • Typical surgeries may include tumor removal, biopsy, diagnostic, colorectal, melanoma, etc.
  • DaVinci Xi robot and seven ORs

Qualifications:

  • BE/BC in General Surgery
  • Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of ID and DEA with full prescriptive authority
  • Completion of fellowship training in Complex General Surgical Oncology at an ACGME-accredited program highly desired
