Opportunity Overview
We are seeking experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs) to provide in-house night shift coverage for a Level III Regional Perinatal Center in Indiana. This position offers both full-time and part-time schedules and involves caring for critically ill newborns in a high-acuity setting.
Assignment Details
- Schedule: Tuesday–Sunday
- Shift Hours: 5:00 PM–7:00 AM or 6:00 PM–8:00 AM (14-hour shifts)
- Setting: Inpatient – NICU
- Charting: Real-time documentation required within 24 hours
- Average Census: 12–15 patients
- Patient Demographic: Newborns
- Supervision: Collaborative practice with an on-call neonatologist
Responsibilities
- Attend and manage high-risk deliveries
- Perform neonatal resuscitations and intubations
- Insert and manage umbilical and peripheral lines
- Provide comprehensive care for critically ill NICU patients
Requirements
- Active Indiana License
- Board Certification required
- Certifications: DEA, PALS
- Experience: Prior NICU/Neonatology experience strongly preferred
