**Neonatologist – Rapid City, South Dakota**
**Board Eligible or Board Certified Neonatologist**
Position Overview:
A full-time Board Eligible or Board Certified Neonatologist is sought to join an expanding Neonatology program serving the western South Dakota region. The physician will provide high-level care for newborns in a modern Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) within a regional tertiary referral and trauma center.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive care and life support for infants of all gestational ages and weights, including critically ill and premature newborns.
• Manage a full range of respiratory support modalities, including conventional and high-frequency oscillation ventilation, as well as inhaled nitric oxide.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of pediatric subspecialists, nurses, and respiratory therapists to ensure high-quality, evidence-based neonatal care.
• Utilize advanced imaging and diagnostic resources such as CT, MRI, and echocardiography, available on an urgent basis.
• Participate in ongoing program growth, quality improvement initiatives, and education of staff and trainees as appropriate.
Qualifications:
• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.).
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatology.
• Eligible for or possessing a South Dakota medical license.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to family-centered care.
