Locum Emergency Medicine physician needed in Belton, MO.

Summary

• Provide emergency medical care in the ED and affiliated freestanding emergency rooms (FSERs) as needed.
• Manage a broad range of acute medical conditions and injuries, including resuscitation, stabilization, and trauma care.

Responsibilities

• Triage, assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting to the emergency department.
• Perform emergency procedures and interventions (airway management, resuscitation, hemorrhage control, procedural sedation, chest tubes, etc.).
• Document care and communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate transfers and disposition decisions when necessary.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and state regulations.

Schedule

• Locum shifts; must be available for days, nights, and weekends.
• Flexibility to work at the main hospital and at affiliated FSER locations.

Qualifications

• Board certified in ABEM or AOBEM.
• Active, unrestricted Missouri medical license.
• Current ACLS and PALS certification (or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience in emergency medicine with competency in acute resuscitation and trauma management.
• Strong clinical judgment, documentation skills, and teamwork.
