- Schedule: Weekend call, Saturday–Sunday
- Practice Setting: Inpatient + Outpatient

**Requirements**
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Active Virginia license
- Flu vaccine (required)
- COVID-19 vaccination (highly preferred)
- Clean malpractice history (required for temp privileges)
- Minimum 2.6M malpractice coverage per Virginia requirements

**Clinical Details**
- Scope: Full-spectrum adult gastroenterology
- Typical Procedures:
- Upper GI Endoscopy (biopsy, foreign body removal, cautery/laser, variceal injection/banding, PEG)
- ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic)
- Esophageal dilatation and manometry
- Small bowel biopsy
- Sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy
- Liver biopsy
- EUS and Blakemore tube management
- Volume: ~8 total procedures per weekend (mix of EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, and hepatology cases)
- Support: Onsite lab, X-ray, and full hospital team

**Compensation**
- Rates: Facility is accepting bids
- Malpractice: Provided
