**Neonatologist Opening – Level IV NICU (Charleston, West Virginia)**
An exciting opportunity is now available for a **Neonatologist** to join a collaborative NICU team in beautiful Charleston, West Virginia. Work in a major regional referral hospital with full subspecialty support and strong academic involvement.
**About the Opportunity**
-Level IV NICU with 30 beds and an average daily census of 24
-Approx. 3,000 annual deliveries with ~470 NICU admissions and ~1,226 newborn nursery admissions
-24/7 in-house Neonatologist coverage
-NNPs provide support and primarily cover the newborn nursery (12-hour shifts)
-Attendance at deliveries required
-Teaching site for:
-WVU School of Medicine
-West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine
-Opportunity for academic title: Clinical Associate Professor through WVU Charleston Division
-Option to also cover nearby Level II NICU
**Team & Support**
-Join a team of 4 Neonatologists and 3 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners
-Consultative pediatric subspecialty support across more than **30 specialties**, including:
-Pulmonology
-Pediatric Surgery
-Neurology
-Nephrology
-Infectious Disease
-Hematology/Oncology
-Gastroenterology
-Endocrinology
-Cardiology
**Candidate Parameters**
-Ideal candidates: 3+ years experience in a busy Level III/IV NICU
-Commuters welcome
-Accepting J1 visa candidates
-Accepting new graduates and experienced physicians
-Not accepting locums candidates
