Schedule: Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Compensation: Travel: $2,182/36 hrs; Local: $2,149/36 hrs

Overview:
Join a collaborative care team in Albuquerque delivering high-quality, patient-centered physical therapy. This 13-week contract role requires a licensed PT who can perform thorough evaluations, design and implement individualized treatment plans, and communicate effectively with patients and interdisciplinary teams.

Required Credentials:

  • Active Physical Therapy state license
  • CPR/BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross (with AED)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations, review medical histories, and coordinate with clinicians to identify patient needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable rehabilitation objectives.
  • Prescribe and progress therapeutic exercise programs to enhance strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Deliver hands-on interventions (joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques, manual stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain.
  • Utilize therapeutic modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as clinically indicated.
  • Instruct and fit patients on assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) to promote safe mobility.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Create and monitor home exercise programs to support continuity of care and long-term outcomes.
  • Develop and adjust pain management strategies using exercises, modalities, and manual techniques.
  • Document assessments, treatments, progress notes, and plan changes accurately and timely.
  • Communicate proactively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.
  • Uphold legal and ethical standards, maintain patient confidentiality, obtain informed consent, and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
