Contract physical therapy opportunity in Moses Lake, WA. Start ASAP for a 13-week assignment. Full schedule: Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel rate $2,383/36 hrs; Local rate $2,347/36 hrs.

Requirements:

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy state license.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (must include AED).

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough evaluations, review medical history, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to determine patient needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and measurable rehabilitation goals.
  • Design and supervise therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, coordination, and functional mobility.
  • Deliver manual therapy techniques (joint mobilization, soft-tissue work, manual stretching) to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
  • Apply physical modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as appropriate to manage pain and promote tissue healing.
  • Instruct and fit patients on assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) and provide mobility training.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Provide pain-management strategies integrating therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual techniques.
  • Support post-operative and post-injury recovery to maximize independence and quality of life.
  • Monitor, document, and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and objective outcome measures.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other care team members to coordinate care.
  • Prepare accurate, timely clinical documentation, progress notes, and care plans while maintaining patient confidentiality and informed consent.
  • Deliver culturally sensitive care and demonstrate professional, ethical practice.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
