Travel Physical Therapist (13-Week Contract) — Kennebunk, ME | $2,424/40h, Full Week Schedule

Join a friendly team in Kennebunk, ME for a 13-week contract starting ASAP. You’ll work a full schedule (Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM) helping patients rebuild strength, mobility, and independence. Compensation: Travel rate $2,424/40 hrs; Local rate $2,388/40 hrs.

What you’ll do

• Perform thorough physical assessments and review medical histories to identify patient needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to develop and refine individualized treatment plans and measurable goals.
• Create and lead customized exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
• Use hands-on techniques—joint mobilization, soft tissue work, and manual stretching—to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Apply therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, and cold to support healing and pain relief.
• Instruct patients on proper use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) and safe body mechanics.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, injury prevention, and home exercise programs.
• Monitor and document progress, adjust plans as needed, and maintain accurate, timely patient records and progress notes.
• Follow ethical and legal standards, maintain patient confidentiality, and obtain informed consent.
• Provide culturally responsive care and adapt communication to meet diverse patient needs.
• Support broader team needs and take on other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Valid, active Physical Therapy state license.
• Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (with AED).
