Rate: Travel $2,308/36 hrs; Local $2,275/36 hrs

Summary:
Seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a 13-week contract in Waterville, Maine. The clinician will perform assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to restore patient function and independence.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, valid state Physical Therapy license
  • Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (with AED)

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations, review medical histories, and identify functional limitations and rehabilitation needs
  • Develop measurable, individualized treatment goals and evidence-based plans of care
  • Implement therapeutic interventions including exercise prescription, manual techniques, joint mobilization, soft tissue work, and manual stretching
  • Utilize modalities as appropriate (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to manage pain and promote healing
  • Instruct patients and families on safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) and provide ergonomic/body mechanics education
  • Create and teach home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery and prevention
  • Monitor, document, and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and outcomes
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records and comply with legal, ethical, and confidentiality requirements
  • Provide culturally sensitive care and obtain informed consent
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
