Contract Travel Physical Therapist (PT) — Gulfport, MS (13-Week)

Join a Gulfport, MS team as a contract Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment starting ASAP. This full-time role follows a consistent 08:00 AM–04:30 PM schedule, seven days a week (Sun–Sat). Compensation: Travel: $2,121/35 hrs; Local: $2,090/35 hrs.

Required credentials:

• Active, valid Physical Therapy state license
• CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED)

Key responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive evaluations, review medical history, and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to determine patient needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable rehabilitation goals.
• Design therapeutic exercise programs to restore strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
• Deliver manual therapy (joint mobilization, soft-tissue techniques, stretching) to improve mobility and relieve pain.
• Utilize modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, and cold to manage pain, inflammation, and tissue healing.
• Instruct and train patients in safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
• Educate patients and families on conditions, prognosis, home exercise programs, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
• Create and adjust pain-management strategies using therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual techniques.
• Support patients’ functional independence after surgery, injury, or illness to improve quality of life.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient progress; update treatment plans as indicated.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, ensure informed consent, and adhere to legal and ethical standards, including confidentiality.
• Provide culturally responsive care and perform other duties as assigned by management.
