We’re looking for a Physical Therapist to join our team in Elk Grove, CA for a 13-week contract starting ASAP. This role follows an 08:00 AM–04:30 PM schedule and is open to travel or local candidates. Compensation is $1,995/35-hours for travel and $1,967/35-hours for local placements.
What you’ll do:
- Perform thorough evaluations by reviewing medical histories and working closely with other healthcare professionals to identify patient needs.
- Create individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable goals for rehabilitation and recovery.
- Design and lead exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
- Use hands-on techniques—joint mobilization, soft tissue work, and manual stretching—to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
- Apply modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to manage pain, decrease inflammation, and promote healing.
- Teach patients how to use assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) safely and effectively.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, injury prevention, body mechanics, and ergonomics.
- Develop and adjust pain-management strategies using exercise, modalities, and manual therapy.
- Help patients regain independence after surgery, injury, or illness, focusing on functional improvements and quality of life.
- Continuously monitor and document progress, updating treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.
- Provide personalized home exercise programs to support recovery between sessions.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, treatments, progress notes, and any changes in condition.
- Uphold legal and ethical standards in patient care, including confidentiality and informed consent.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and adapt care to meet the needs of diverse patient populations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
What we need from you:
- Current, active Physical Therapy state license.
- CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (with AED).
If you’re a compassionate clinician who enjoys collaborative care and helping patients reclaim independence, we’d love to hear from you.
