We’re looking for a Physical Therapist to join our team in Elk Grove, CA for a 13-week contract starting ASAP. This role follows an 08:00 AM–04:30 PM schedule and is open to travel or local candidates. Compensation is $1,995/35-hours for travel and $1,967/35-hours for local placements.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform thorough evaluations by reviewing medical histories and working closely with other healthcare professionals to identify patient needs.
  • Create individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable goals for rehabilitation and recovery.
  • Design and lead exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Use hands-on techniques—joint mobilization, soft tissue work, and manual stretching—to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
  • Apply modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to manage pain, decrease inflammation, and promote healing.
  • Teach patients how to use assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) safely and effectively.
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, injury prevention, body mechanics, and ergonomics.
  • Develop and adjust pain-management strategies using exercise, modalities, and manual therapy.
  • Help patients regain independence after surgery, injury, or illness, focusing on functional improvements and quality of life.
  • Continuously monitor and document progress, updating treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.
  • Provide personalized home exercise programs to support recovery between sessions.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, treatments, progress notes, and any changes in condition.
  • Uphold legal and ethical standards in patient care, including confidentiality and informed consent.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and adapt care to meet the needs of diverse patient populations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What we need from you:

  • Current, active Physical Therapy state license.
  • CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (with AED).
