Join a 13-week contract in Silver City, NM as a Physical Therapist, starting ASAP. Schedule: 08:00 AM–04:30 PM, seven days/week (Sun–Sat). Compensation: Travel rate $2,182/36 hrs; Local rate $2,149/36 hrs.

Requirements:

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy state license
  • CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED)

Position overview:
Provide patient-centered physical therapy services across the continuum of care. Assess functional status, design and implement individualized treatment plans, and work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to help patients regain independence and improve quality of life.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive physical assessments and review medical histories to identify patient needs
  • Create measurable, goal-directed treatment plans and adjust them based on progress
  • Develop and lead therapeutic exercise programs to enhance strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination
  • Deliver manual therapy techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain
  • Apply therapeutic modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as appropriate
  • Instruct patients on proper use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs)
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, ergonomics, and injury prevention
  • Implement pain management strategies using exercise, modalities, and manual techniques
  • Facilitate post-operative and post-injury rehabilitation to restore function and independence
  • Monitor, document, and report patient progress; maintain accurate clinical records of assessments, treatments, and outcomes
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other care team members
  • Maintain ethical, legal, and culturally sensitive standards of care; obtain informed consent and protect patient confidentiality
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

This role requires strong clinical judgment, clear documentation, and a commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care.
