Registered Nurse Medical/Surgical Unit (Day & Night)

Location: Floresville, TX | Department: Medical/Surgical Unit

Schedule:

• 1 Day Shift RN: 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

• 1 Night Shift RN: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

Pay Range: $29.00 – $46.00/hour (based on experience)

Summary

The Med/Surg RN provides comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with a variety of medical and post-surgical conditions. This role supports safe, efficient care delivery in a community hospital environment, coordinating the plan of care from admission through discharge.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide head-to-toe assessments and ongoing monitoring of patients.

• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies safely and accurately.

• Coordinate care with physicians, case management, therapy, and ancillary staff.

• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and discharge plans.

• Promote safety, fall prevention, and infection control practices.

• Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license (or compact license) required.

• 1+ year recent acute care Med/Surg or Telemetry experience strongly preferred.

• BLS required; ACLS preferred or obtained shortly after hire.

Salary

$60,320-$95,680
