Join a busy gastroenterology group in Jackson, MI to provide supplemental inpatient and outpatient coverage on a locum tenens basis. Coverage begins ASAP and is ongoing. Clinical-only schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.
Practice details
- Setting: Inpatient and outpatient (Trauma Level II)
- Typical inpatient volume: ~14 patients per day
- Procedural time allocation (outpatient): Colonoscopy 30 min; EGD 30 min; Double procedures 60 min
- Current group: 4 physicians
- EMR: Epic
- Travel, lodging, and and malpractice insurance provided
Required clinical scope
- Colonoscopy, lower GI endoscopy, and sigmoidoscopy
- Small bowel biopsy
- Diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopy (biopsy, foreign body removal, bleeding fulguration, variceal injection and banding)
- Esophageal dilatation and esophageal manometry with interpretation
- ERCP and PEG placement
Credentials and requirements
- BC/BE in Gastroenterology; fellowship-trained
- Active Michigan license or willingness to obtain
- Local candidates preferred
- BLS and ACLS required
- NPDB report required
Reason for coverage: supplemental staffing for ongoing clinical needs.
