We’re seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join a team in Watchung, NJ on a 14-week contract starting ASAP. This role follows an 08:00 AM–04:30 PM schedule. Compensation is: Travel $1,754/35-hours; Local $1,726/35-hours.

What you’ll need

  • Valid, active Physical Therapy state license.
  • Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED).

What you’ll be doing

  • Perform thorough physical assessments and review patients’ medical histories to understand their needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehab professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Create individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable rehabilitation goals.
  • Design and lead exercise programs that build strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Use hands-on techniques—joint mobilization, soft tissue work, and manual stretching—to improve mobility and relieve pain.
  • Apply therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, and cold to reduce pain and support tissue healing.
  • Instruct patients in the safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) and train them in functional mobility.
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and strategies for injury prevention, ergonomics, and body mechanics.
  • Develop and adjust pain management approaches using therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual therapy.
  • Support patients in regaining independence after surgery, injury, or illness to improve overall quality of life.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, update treatment plans as needed, and provide tailored home exercise programs.
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records—assessments, treatments, progress notes, and any changes in condition.
  • Uphold ethical and legal standards, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
  • Deliver culturally sensitive care that respects the diverse backgrounds of patients.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
