Schedule: Sun–Sat, 08:00 AM–04:30 PM | Rate: Travel $1,548/36 hrs; Local $1,526/36 hrs
Requirements:
- Active Physical Therapy license in the practicing state
- CPR and BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross, with AED)
Role overview:
Provide high-quality, patient-centered physical therapy services across the continuum of care. Use evidence-based assessment and treatment to restore function, reduce pain, and support patient independence while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive evaluations, review medical history, and coordinate with clinical colleagues to identify patient needs and goals.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable rehabilitation objectives.
- Prescribe and progress therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
- Deliver manual therapy techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, manual stretching) to enhance mobility and relieve pain.
- Administer modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as appropriate to support pain control and tissue healing.
- Instruct and fit patients with assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) to promote safe mobility.
- Educate patients and caregivers on diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
- Develop and oversee pain management strategies integrating exercises, modalities, and manual techniques.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjust interventions as needed, and provide clear home exercise programs to support recovery.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, obtain informed consent, and adhere to legal and ethical standards, including patient confidentiality.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and responsiveness to diverse patient populations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
