Required credentials

• Valid, active Physical Therapy state license.
• CPR and BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross (with AED).

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical assessments and review medical history.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to determine patient needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with specific, measurable goals.
• Design and implement therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
• Apply manual therapy techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue mobilization, stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Use modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to manage pain, inflammation, and promote healing.
• Instruct and fit patients in assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) to maximize mobility and safety.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
• Create and prescribe home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery.
• Monitor, document, and adjust treatment based on patient progress toward goals.
• Maintain accurate patient records: assessments, treatments, progress notes, and changes in condition.
• Follow ethical and legal standards, obtain informed consent, and protect patient confidentiality.
• Provide culturally sensitive care and respond to diverse patient needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
