Rate: Travel: $2,244 / 35 hrs; Local: $2,212 / 35 hrs

We’re looking for a licensed Physical Therapist to join our team in Westford for a 13-week contract. If you enjoy hands-on patient care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and helping patients regain independence, this could be a great fit.

What you’ll need

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy state license
  • Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED)

What you’ll do

  • Perform thorough physical assessments, review medical histories, and collaborate with other clinicians to get a full picture of each patient’s needs.
  • Create individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable goals to guide rehabilitation and recovery.
  • Design and lead therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Use hands-on techniques—joint mobilization, soft tissue work, and manual stretching—to improve mobility and relieve pain.
  • Apply modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, and cold to manage pain, reduce inflammation, and promote healing.
  • Teach patients how to use assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) safely to enhance mobility.
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Develop and implement pain management strategies using therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy.
  • Support patients in regaining independence following surgery, injury, or illness, focusing on improving their quality of life.
  • Continuously reassess and document progress, adjusting plans as needed to meet rehabilitation goals.
  • Communicate clearly with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate and optimize care.
  • Provide customized home exercise programs to help patients maintain gains between sessions.
  • Maintain accurate, professional documentation of assessments, treatments, progress notes, and any changes in condition.
  • Follow ethical and legal standards, uphold patient confidentiality, and obtain informed consent.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and respond appropriately to the diverse needs of patients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
