Location: St. Wyocena, WI | Type: Contract/Travel | Start: ASAP | Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: 08:00 AM–04:30 PM | Rate: Travel $1,677 / 35 hrs; Local $1,652 / 35 hrs

Requirements:

  • Valid, active Physical Therapy state license.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross (with AED).

Role overview:
Provide comprehensive, patient-centered physical therapy care by evaluating functional status, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to promote recovery and independence.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough physical assessments and review medical histories to identify patient needs and goals.
  • Create and adjust individualized treatment plans targeting rehabilitation and functional outcomes.
  • Design and deliver therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Use manual techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, manual stretching) to enhance mobility and relieve pain.
  • Apply modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to manage pain, inflammation, and tissue healing.
  • Instruct patients in the safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Implement pain management strategies using therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual interventions.
  • Support post-operative and post-injury recovery to restore independence and quality of life.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient progress; revise plans of care as needed.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records (assessments, treatments, progress notes) and comply with legal/ethical standards, including confidentiality and informed consent.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and adapt care to meet diverse patient needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
