Requirements:

• Active, valid Physical Therapy state license
• CPR and BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross (with AED)

Core responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive physical assessments; review medical history and coordinate with the care team to determine patient needs.
• Develop and document individualized treatment plans with clear rehabilitation goals.
• Design and deliver therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
• Provide hands-on interventions (joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques, manual stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Apply modalities as appropriate (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to manage pain and support tissue healing.
• Train and advise patients in safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, home exercise programs, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
• Monitor, document, and adjust treatment based on patient progress toward goals.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records, progress notes, and consent documentation.
• Adhere to legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards; demonstrate cultural sensitivity in patient interactions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
