Ready to join a team in Nashua, NH as a Physical Therapist on a 13-week contract? This role starts ASAP, follows an 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule, and offers a travel rate of $2,280 per 40 hours (local rate $2,248/40 hours).

What you’ll need

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy license for the state.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (AED included).

What you’ll do day-to-day
You’ll evaluate and treat a wide range of patients, working closely with other clinicians to plan and deliver effective, individualized care. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Perform thorough physical assessments and review medical histories to identify patient needs and goals.
  • Create and update personalized treatment plans and measurable rehab goals.
  • Design and lead exercise programs to build strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Use hands-on techniques—joint mobilization, soft tissue work, and manual stretching—to improve mobility and relieve pain.
  • Apply therapeutic modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to reduce inflammation and support tissue healing.
  • Teach and fit assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) to enhance safe mobility.
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Develop and implement pain-management strategies using exercises, modalities, and manual therapy.
  • Help patients regain independence after surgery, injury, or illness to improve everyday function and quality of life.
  • Monitor and document progress, adjusting plans as needed and maintaining accurate treatment notes and assessments.
  • Communicate and coordinate with physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to ensure cohesive care.
  • Deliver clear home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery.
  • Practice ethically and legally—maintain confidentiality, obtain informed consent, and show cultural sensitivity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
