Rate: Travel: $2,182 / 36 hours; Local: $2,149 / 36 hours

Requirements:

  • Valid, active Physical Therapy state license.
  • CPR and BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross (with AED).

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive physical assessments and review medical histories to determine patient needs.
  • Develop and document individualized treatment plans with measurable rehabilitation goals.
  • Design and implement exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Apply manual therapy (joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques, manual stretching) to restore mobility and reduce pain.
  • Use therapeutic modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as indicated.
  • Instruct and train patients in safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
  • Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Establish pain management strategies, incorporating therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual techniques.
  • Facilitate functional recovery and independence after surgery, injury, or illness.
  • Monitor and document patient progress; adjust treatment plans based on outcomes.
  • Communicate and collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.
  • Create and prescribe home exercise programs to support continued recovery.
  • Maintain accurate, timely records of assessments, treatments, progress notes, and changes in condition.
  • Follow legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards; obtain informed consent.
  • Provide culturally sensitive care and adapt approaches to diverse patient needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
