Schedule

• Orientation: Mar 25, 2026
• Required coverage dates: Mar 26–30; Apr 16–20; Jun 12–15; Dec 11–14
• Workdays: Monday–Friday
• Shift length: 9-hour shifts (8 hours billable)
• Call: Nights & weekends; weekend call shift 7:00 a.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Call type: Beeper; response time required ≤ 20 minutes
• Phone consults expected: 2–4 per shift
• Rounding: Included

Clinical Duties & Procedures

• Responsible for all charting and completion of work without an assistant
• Must review all personal pathology and complete associated documentation
• Average procedures per shift: 12
• Procedure types: EGD, colonoscopy, pH studies, esophageal manometry, sigmoidoscopy, PEG/PEG-J placement, hydrogen breath testing, capsule endoscopy
• Use of propofol required
• ERCP / EUS preferred
• Equipment: Olympus for manometry
• Facilities: 4 endoscopy suites
• Trauma level: II
• Hospitalists handle admissions
• Established endoscopy team on site

Systems & Privileges

• EMR: Athena, Cerner, gGastro
• Hospital privileges required
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided

Requirements

• Active Michigan medical license
• Board certified (BC) in Gastroenterology
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ABLS, ATLS
