Schedule: Mon–Fri, 08:00 AM–04:30 PM (35 hours/week)
Rate: Travel $2,121/35-hrs; Local $2,090/35-hrs

Required credentials

  • Active Physical Therapy state license
  • CPR and BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross, with AED)

Core responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical assessments and review medical history to determine patient needs.
  • Develop and document individualized treatment plans with measurable rehabilitation goals.
  • Design and implement therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, balance, and coordination.
  • Provide manual therapy (joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques, manual stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain.
  • Apply modalities as indicated (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to address pain, inflammation, and tissue healing.
  • Instruct and train patients in the safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Create and prescribe home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery and independence.
  • Monitor, document, and reassess patient progress; modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Communicate and coordinate care with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records and progress notes; comply with documentation standards.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards, including confidentiality and informed consent.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and provide patient-centered care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
