Travel Physical Therapist — 14‑Week Contract in Terre Haute, IN (Day Shift, ASAP)

We’re looking for a licensed Physical Therapist to join a team in Terre Haute, IN on a 14-week contract starting ASAP. The typical shift runs from 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Rate is to be determined.

What you’ll bring

• Valid, active Physical Therapy state license
• Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (AED included)

What you’ll do
You’ll evaluate and treat patients across a range of conditions, working closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver individualized, goal-oriented care. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Performing thorough physical assessments and reviewing medical histories to identify patient needs
• Creating and carrying out customized treatment plans with clear rehabilitation goals
• Designing therapeutic exercise programs to build strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination
• Using hands-on techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, manual stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain
• Applying modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, and cold therapy when appropriate
• Training patients in the safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs)
• Teaching patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention
• Developing and adjusting pain-management strategies using therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual techniques
• Helping patients regain independence after surgery, injury, or illness to improve their quality of life
• Regularly reassessing progress, documenting outcomes, and updating treatment plans as needed
• Communicating effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care
• Providing clear, personalized home exercise programs to support continued recovery
• Maintaining accurate, timely patient records and following legal/ethical standards, including confidentiality and informed consent
• Demonstrating cultural sensitivity and adapting care to meet diverse patient needs
• Other duties as assigned by management
