Requirements

• Valid, active Physical Therapy state license.
• CPR and BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross (includes AED).

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical assessments and review medical history to determine patient needs.
• Develop, document, and implement individualized treatment plans with specific, measurable goals.
• Design and progress therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, coordination, and functional mobility.
• Apply manual therapy techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, manual stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Use therapeutic modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as appropriate for pain control and tissue healing.
• Instruct and train patients in the safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
• Develop and teach home exercise programs to support continuity of care.
• Monitor and document patient progress; revise treatment plans based on outcomes and clinical judgment.
• Communicate and coordinate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other care team members.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records (assessments, treatments, progress notes, changes).
• Adhere to legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards; obtain informed consent.
• Provide culturally sensitive care responsive to diverse patient needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
