We’re looking for a Physical Therapist to join a team in Winchester, NH on a 14-week contract, starting ASAP. This role follows an 08:00 AM–04:30 PM schedule. Compensation is $1,260/35-hours for travel and $1,239/35-hours for local candidates.

What you’ll need

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy state license
  • Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (with AED)

What you’ll be doing

  • Perform thorough physical assessments, review medical histories, and collaborate with the care team to understand each patient’s needs.
  • Create individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable goals for rehabilitation and recovery.
  • Design and lead exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Use hands-on techniques—joint mobilization, soft tissue work, and manual stretching—to improve mobility and reduce pain.
  • Apply therapeutic modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to manage pain, swelling, and tissue healing.
  • Instruct patients on safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) to maximize independence.
  • Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and injury prevention, including body mechanics and ergonomics.
  • Develop pain management approaches that combine exercises, modalities, and manual therapy.
  • Guide post-surgical and post-injury patients toward regaining independence and improving quality of life.
  • Monitor and document progress, adjusting treatment plans based on outcomes and changing needs.
  • Communicate clearly with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.
  • Provide customized home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery.
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records—assessments, treatment notes, progress, and any changes in condition.
  • Uphold ethical and legal standards, including confidentiality and informed consent, and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
