Compensation: Travel: $1,876/35 hrs; Local: $1,848/35 hrs

Overview:
Join a multidisciplinary team delivering patient-centered physical therapy in Vallejo. This contract role requires a licensed clinician who can perform thorough evaluations, design individualized plans of care, implement evidence-based interventions, and collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and therapists to achieve measurable patient outcomes.

Required Credentials:

  • Active Physical Therapy state license
  • CPR and BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross, including AED)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations, including medical history review and functional assessment, to determine patient needs.
  • Develop and document individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable goals.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, coordination, mobility, and functional independence.
  • Provide hands-on manual therapy (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, stretching) and apply modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as appropriate.
  • Instruct and fit patients on assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) and educate on safe use.
  • Create and teach home exercise programs and provide education on body mechanics, ergonomics, injury prevention, and condition management for patients and families.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans based on outcomes and clinical judgment.
  • Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and optimize patient recovery.
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and adhere to legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and deliver care respectful of diverse patient backgrounds.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
