Join our Albuquerque team as a full-time Physical Therapist. This position starts ASAP with a regular schedule of 8:00 AM–4:30 PM and requires a valid New Mexico PT license or proof of eligibility.

Requirements:

  • Valid Physical Therapy license in the practicing state(s) or proof of eligibility.
  • Master’s degree in Physical Therapy; OR Master’s in a related field plus a Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy; OR Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy with 5 years’ PT experience.
  • Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervise PT assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support staff in accordance with state licensure and professional standards.
  • Screen, examine, evaluate, and diagnose patients; establish impairments and functional limitations; set goals; and develop, document, and update individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver and document therapeutic interventions, including therapeutic exercise (aerobic, balance, coordination, strength, flexibility), functional training, manual therapy, airway clearance, wound/integrity care, electrotherapeutic and mechanical modalities, health/wellness education, chronic disease management, fall risk assessment/intervention, and case management.
  • Select and adapt activities to match patients’ physical and cognitive capacities; instruct and assess mobility skills and behavioral responses; perform routine re-examinations and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Participate in patient care and staffing conferences; refer to other disciplines and community agencies when appropriate.
  • Conduct home and community mobility/safety assessments and provide recommendations.
  • Maintain timely clinical and billing documentation, adhere to department schedules, and attend required meetings.
  • Order, maintain, clean, and report needed repairs for supplies and equipment.
  • Promote patient- and family-centered, compassionate care and a safe environment by identifying and mitigating safety and fire hazards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
