Rate: Travel $1,775/35 hrs; Local $1,750/35 hrs

Required credentials:

• Active Physical Therapy state license
• CPR/BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross (with AED)

Core responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive physical assessments and review medical history.
• Collaborate with healthcare team (physicians, nurses, OTs) to determine patient needs.
• Develop and document individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Design and deliver customized therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
• Apply manual therapy (joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques, stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Administer modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as appropriate.
• Instruct and fit patients on assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
• Develop and implement pain management strategies including therapeutic exercises and modalities.
• Progress patients toward independence after surgery, injury, or illness; modify plans based on ongoing assessments.
• Provide individualized home exercise programs and document patient progress.
• Maintain accurate records: assessments, treatments, progress notes, and changes in condition.
• Adhere to ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards; obtain informed consent.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and respond to diverse patient needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
