Schedule: Mon–Fri, 08:00 AM–04:30 PM
Rate: Travel: $2,048/35 hrs; Local: $2,016/35 hrs
Type: Contract/Travel

Requirements:

  • Active Physical Therapy license for the state of Pennsylvania
  • Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (AED included)

Overview:
Provide skilled physical therapy services in an outpatient/inpatient setting, delivering patient-centered care through assessment, individualized treatment planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration to restore function and improve quality of life.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough evaluations including medical history review and functional assessments to identify patient needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable rehabilitation objectives.
  • Prescribe and supervise therapeutic exercise programs to address strength, flexibility, endurance, balance, and coordination.
  • Use manual therapy techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain.
  • Apply physical modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as appropriate to support healing and symptom management.
  • Instruct patients and caregivers in safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment rationale, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Monitor, document, and adjust treatment based on patient progress; maintain accurate and timely clinical records.
  • Coordinate care and communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members.
  • Develop home exercise programs to promote continued recovery and independence.
  • Adhere to legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards; obtain informed consent and demonstrate cultural competence.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
