We’re looking for a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in Albuquerque, NM on a 14-week contract starting ASAP. This role follows a consistent daily schedule (Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM) and offers competitive pay: Travel: $2,244/35-hours; Local: $2,212/35-hours.

What you’ll need

  • A valid, active Physical Therapy state license
  • Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED)

What you’ll do
You’ll provide hands-on, patient-centered care across the continuum of recovery. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Performing thorough physical assessments and reviewing medical histories to understand each patient’s needs
  • Collaborating with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care
  • Creating individualized treatment plans with clear rehabilitation goals
  • Designing and implementing exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination
  • Using manual techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain
  • Applying modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, and cold to support pain relief and tissue healing
  • Teaching safe and effective use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs)
  • Educating patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention
  • Developing and applying pain management strategies using therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual therapy
  • Supporting patients in regaining independence after surgery, injury, or illness to improve their quality of life
  • Monitoring and documenting patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
  • Providing personalized home exercise programs to support continued recovery
  • Maintaining accurate and timely patient records, including assessments, treatments, progress notes, and changes in condition
  • Upholding ethical and legal standards of care, including patient confidentiality and informed consent
  • Demonstrating cultural sensitivity and responsiveness to serve a diverse patient population
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management
