We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a 14-week contract/travel assignment in Great Barrington, MA, starting ASAP. This is a full-time position with a consistent schedule: Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel rate $2,704/40 hrs; Local rate $2,664/40 hrs.

Minimum qualifications

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy state license.
  • Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED).

Core responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations, review medical histories, and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to determine patient needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable rehabilitation goals.
  • Deliver therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Apply manual therapy techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, stretching) and physical modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to reduce pain and promote healing.
  • Instruct and fit patients on assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) and provide education on safe body mechanics and ergonomics.
  • Create and prescribe home exercise programs and self-management strategies to support ongoing recovery and prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor, document, and adjust patient progress and treatment plans; maintain accurate, timely clinical records and progress notes.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other care team members to coordinate care.
  • Adhere to ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards; obtain informed consent and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
