We are seeking a full-time Physical Therapist in Pittsfield, MA to begin ASAP. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Requirements:

  • Current Physical Therapy license in the practicing state or proof of eligibility.
  • Master’s degree in Physical Therapy; or Master’s in a related field plus a Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy; or Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy with 5 years’ PT experience.
  • Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assess, screen, examine, diagnose, and document patient conditions; establish impairments, set measurable treatment goals, and develop individualized care plans.
  • Deliver and document therapeutic interventions, including therapeutic exercise (aerobic, balance, coordination, strength, flexibility), functional training, manual therapy, airway clearance, integumentary repair, electrotherapeutic and mechanical modalities, physical agent modalities, health/wellness education, chronic disease management, fall risk assessment/intervention, and case management.
  • Select and adapt activities to match patients’ physical and mental capacities; instruct patients in mobility skills and evaluate progress through routine re-examinations to modify or advance treatment.
  • Conduct home and community mobility assessments and provide safety recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to design appropriate therapeutic regimens and refer patients to other disciplines or agencies as needed.
  • Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support staff in accordance with state licensure and professional standards.
  • Adhere to departmental schedules, timely clinical and billing documentation, and participate in patient care/staffing conferences and work-related meetings.
  • Order, maintain, clean, and report equipment needs and repairs; procure necessary supplies and promote a safe environment by identifying and eliminating fire and safety hazards.
  • Ensure compassionate, high-quality service for patients and families.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
