Requirements:

  • Valid Physical Therapy license in practicing state(s) or proof of eligibility.
  • Education: Master's degree in Physical Therapy OR Master's in a related field plus a Bachelor's in Physical Therapy OR Bachelor's in Physical Therapy with 5 years of PT experience.
  • Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise PT assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support staff per state licensure and professional standards.
  • Screen, examine, and evaluate patients to establish diagnoses, identify impairments, set treatment goals, and develop care plans.
  • Provide and document therapeutic interventions including: therapeutic exercise (aerobic, balance, coordination, strength, flexibility), functional training, manual therapy, airway clearance, integumentary repair, electrotherapeutic and mechanical modalities, physical agents, health/wellness education, chronic disease management, fall risk assessment/intervention, and case management.
  • Select and adapt activities to match patients’ physical and cognitive capacities; instruct and assess mobility skills; perform routine reexaminations and modify/progress treatment plans.
  • Conduct home and community mobility/safety assessments and provide recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the rehabilitation team and refer patients to other disciplines/agencies as needed.
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical and billing documentation; adhere to department and patient schedules; attend required meetings and care/staffing conferences.
  • Order, maintain, clean, and report repair needs for supplies and equipment.
  • Promote a safe environment, identify and eliminate fire and safety hazards.
  • Ensure compassionate, high-quality service to patients and families.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.
