Join a team in Piscataway, NJ for a 14-week contract starting ASAP. This full-time position runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation is: Travel: $2,317/35-hours; Local: $2,282/35-hours.

What we’re looking for

  • An active, valid Physical Therapy state license.
  • Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED).

What you’ll do
You’ll evaluate and treat patients across the continuum of care, working closely with physicians, nurses, and other rehab professionals to help patients regain independence and improve quality of life. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Performing comprehensive physical assessments and reviewing medical histories to identify patient needs and set meaningful goals.
  • Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans and therapeutic exercise programs to build strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Using hands-on techniques—joint mobilization, soft tissue work, manual stretching—to improve mobility and reduce pain.
  • Applying modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, and cold to manage pain, inflammation, and tissue healing.
  • Teaching safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) and providing tailored home exercise programs to support recovery.
  • Educating patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Developing and adjusting pain management strategies using exercises, modalities, and manual therapy as needed.
  • Monitoring and documenting patient progress, revising plans of care when goals aren’t being met.
  • Maintaining accurate records of assessments, treatments, and progress notes while adhering to legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards.
  • Demonstrating cultural sensitivity and responding to patients’ diverse needs.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management.
