Join a 14-week contract assignment in Piscataway, NJ, starting ASAP. This full-time role follows a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel rate $2,317/35 hrs; Local rate $2,282/35 hrs.

Requirements:

  • Active Physical Therapy state license
  • Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (with AED)

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive physical assessments, review medical history, and collaborate with the care team to identify patient needs
  • Create individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable rehabilitation goals
  • Design and lead therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination
  • Deliver hands-on interventions (joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques, manual stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain
  • Administer modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold therapy) to manage pain and support healing
  • Instruct and fit patients on assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) to enhance mobility and safety
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention
  • Develop and implement pain-management strategies using therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual techniques
  • Support patients’ return to independence after surgery, injury, or illness, and promote functional recovery
  • Monitor, document, and modify treatment based on patient progress toward goals
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care
  • Provide tailored home exercise programs to reinforce recovery outside the clinic
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records and adhere to legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and adapt care to meet diverse patient needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
