We’re looking for a licensed Physical Therapist to join a contract team in Milford, DE. This is a 14-week assignment starting ASAP with a consistent weekday schedule (Sun–Sat coverage listed as 08:00 AM–04:30 PM). Compensation is competitive: Travel rate $1,677/35 hrs; Local rate $1,652/35 hrs.

What we need from you

  • Current, active Physical Therapy state license.
  • CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (AED included).

What you’ll be doing
You’ll perform thorough physical assessments, review medical histories, and work closely with other clinicians to understand each patient’s needs. From there you’ll design and implement personalized treatment plans and measurable goals to guide rehabilitation and recovery. Key duties include:

  • Creating individualized exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Using manual techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, stretching) to enhance mobility and relieve pain.
  • Applying therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy.
  • Teaching patients how to use assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) to maximize independence and safety.
  • Educating patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, injury prevention, body mechanics, and ergonomics.
  • Developing pain management strategies that combine exercises, modalities, and manual therapy.
  • Helping patients regain independence after surgery, illness, or injury to improve function and quality of life.
  • Regularly reassessing and documenting progress, adapting treatment plans as needed.
  • Communicating effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.
  • Providing clear, personalized home exercise programs to support recovery outside therapy sessions.
  • Maintaining accurate, timely patient records and adhering to legal and ethical standards, including confidentiality and informed consent.
  • Demonstrating cultural sensitivity and responsiveness to meet the diverse needs of patients.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management.
