Schedule: Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM | Rate: Travel $2,307/35 hrs; Local $2,272/35 hrs

We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a 13-week contract in Hayward, CA. The ideal clinician conducts thorough evaluations, develops and implements individualized treatment plans, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to maximize patient outcomes across post‑operative, injury, and medical rehabilitation settings.

Required certifications

  • Active Physical Therapy state license
  • CPR/BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross, with AED)

Key responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical assessments, review medical history, and coordinate care with healthcare colleagues to define patient needs.
  • Create measurable, individualized treatment goals and design intervention plans to restore function, reduce pain, and improve mobility.
  • Deliver therapeutic exercise programs to enhance strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Employ manual therapy techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, stretching) and modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as clinically appropriate.
  • Instruct patients in the safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
  • Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, home exercise programs, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Monitor, document, and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress, maintaining accurate and timely records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to ensure coordinated care.
  • Adhere to legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards while demonstrating cultural sensitivity and respect for diverse patient populations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
