We’re seeking a skilled Physical Therapist for a 13-week contract in Franconia, NH — start ASAP. This role follows a consistent schedule: Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel rate $2,383 / 36-hours; Local rate $2,347 / 36-hours.
What we need from you
- Active, valid Physical Therapy license in the practicing state
- Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (with AED)
What you’ll be doing
You’ll provide hands-on, patient-centered care across the continuum of rehabilitation. Typical responsibilities include:
- Performing thorough physical assessments and reviewing medical histories to determine patient needs
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to coordinate care
- Creating individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable goals
- Designing and progressing exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination
- Using manual techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, stretching) to enhance mobility and relieve pain
- Applying modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, and cold to control pain and inflammation
- Teaching proper use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) to improve safety and mobility
- Educating patients and families about diagnoses, recovery plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention
- Developing and adjusting pain-management strategies using therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual methods
- Helping patients regain independence after surgery, injury, or illness to improve their quality of life
- Providing personalized home exercise programs and ensuring continuity of care
- Regularly documenting assessments, treatments, progress, and changes in condition in the medical record
- Maintaining patient confidentiality, obtaining informed consent, and adhering to ethical and legal standards
- Practicing cultural sensitivity and adapting care to meet diverse patient needs
- Performing other duties as assigned by management
