We’re looking for a full-time Physical Therapist to join our team in McHenry, IL. This position is available ASAP and follows an 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule.

What we need from you

  • A valid Physical Therapy license for the practicing state(s), or documentation showing you’re eligible.
  • A Master’s degree in Physical Therapy; or a Master’s in a related field plus a Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy; or a Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy with at least 5 years of PT experience.
  • A valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.

What you’ll do

  • Supervise PT assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support staff in line with state licensing and professional standards.
  • Keep patient treatment schedules on track, complete clinical and billing documentation promptly, and attend work-related meetings and staffing conferences.
  • Evaluate, screen, and examine patients to set diagnoses, identify impairments, establish treatment goals, and develop care plans—documenting all services and plans thoroughly.
  • Design and deliver therapeutic programs that may include aerobic, balance, coordination, strength, and flexibility exercises; functional training; manual therapy; airway clearance; wound/integumentary management; electrotherapeutic, physical agent and mechanical modalities; and chronic disease management.
  • Provide health and wellness education, fall-risk assessment and intervention, case management, and home/community mobility assessments with safety recommendations.
  • Select activities appropriate to a patient’s physical and cognitive abilities, teach mobility skills, monitor progress and behavior, and perform routine re-examinations to update or advance treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with the rehabilitation team and refer patients to other disciplines or agencies as needed to ensure coordinated care.
  • Promote a safe environment by identifying and eliminating fire and safety hazards.
  • Order supplies and equipment, maintain and clean equipment, and report repair needs.
  • Ensure patients and families receive compassionate, high-quality service.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by management.
