Full-time position in Piscataway, NJ. Start: ASAP. Schedule: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Requirements:

  • Current Physical Therapy license in the practicing state or documentation of eligibility.
  • Master’s degree in Physical Therapy; OR Master’s in a related field plus a Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy; OR Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy with five years’ PT experience.
  • Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive patient care: screen, examine, evaluate, diagnose, establish goals, and develop, implement, document, and adjust individualized treatment plans (including therapeutic exercise, functional training, manual therapy, airway clearance, integumentary repair, electrotherapeutic/physical agent/mechanical modalities, health and wellness education, chronic disease management, fall-risk assessment/intervention, and case management).
  • Instruct and train patients in mobility skills and safety; assess progress and modify interventions through routine reexaminations.
  • Perform home and community mobility assessments and recommend safety adaptations.
  • Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to select appropriate therapeutic regimens and refer to other disciplines or agencies as needed.
  • Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support personnel in accordance with state licensure and professional standards.
  • Maintain timely clinical and billing documentation, adhere to department and patient schedules, and participate in staffing and patient-care conferences and work-related meetings.
  • Order, maintain, clean, and report equipment needs or repairs; ensure necessary supplies are available.
  • Promote a safe environment by identifying and addressing fire and safety hazards.
  • Deliver high-quality, compassionate service to patients and families.
  • Incorporate health and wellness programming into care plans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
