Join a General Medicine outpatient team providing supplemental clinical coverage in Murphy, NC (positions also available in Roanoke Rapids and Ruffin). Coverage begins ASAP and is ongoing on a PRN basis, including half-day (≤4 hrs), full-day (4–8 hrs), and occasional weekends by preference. Assignments include Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct primarily interview-based medical examinations with selective physical assessments (range of motion, muscle strength testing, METs testing).
- Evaluate and diagnose respiratory and cardiovascular conditions as indicated.
- No prescribing or treatment responsibilities.
Logistics and support
- Malpractice insurance provided.
- Provider must use a personal laptop (Windows only; no Apple/Mac).
- Provider must maintain their own office and be located within 50 miles of the assigned site.
Required credentials
- Active North Carolina medical license
- Board certified
- DMA certification or willingness to obtain
- NPDB report
Compensation type: Clinical-only, supplemental coverage (PRN).
