We’re looking for an experienced Physical Therapist to join a team in Fair Lawn, NJ on a 14-week contract starting ASAP. The position follows an 08:00 AM–04:30 PM schedule and offers competitive pay (Travel: $1,876/35-hours; Local: $1,848/35-hours).

What we need from you

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy license for the state.
  • Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED).

What you’ll be doing
You’ll perform thorough assessments, review medical histories, and work closely with physicians, nurses, and other rehab professionals to create patient-centered care plans. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Developing individualized treatment plans and setting clear rehabilitation goals.
  • Designing and leading exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Using hands-on techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, manual stretching) to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
  • Applying therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, and cold when appropriate.
  • Training patients in safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) and teaching body mechanics/ergonomics to prevent re-injury.
  • Educating patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery.
  • Monitoring and documenting patient progress, modifying plans as needed to meet goals.
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
  • Upholding professional, legal, and ethical standards—maintaining confidentiality and obtaining informed consent.
  • Demonstrating cultural sensitivity and adapting care to meet diverse patient needs.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management.
