Schedule: Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM | Rate: Travel $2,121/35 hrs; Local $2,090/35 hrs

Position summary:
Provide skilled physical therapy services in an acute/rehab setting, delivering patient-centered assessment, treatment, education, and documentation to support recovery, function, and independence.

Required credentials:

  • Valid, active Physical Therapy state license
  • CPR and BLS (AHA or Red Cross, including AED)

Core responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations, review medical history, and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to determine patient needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable rehabilitation objectives.
  • Design and progress therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, balance, and coordination.
  • Apply manual therapy techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, stretching) to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
  • Utilize modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as indicated to manage pain, inflammation, and tissue healing.
  • Instruct and fit patients on assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) to promote safe mobility.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on diagnoses, home exercise programs, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Implement pain-management strategies integrating therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual interventions.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans based on outcomes and changing needs.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records (assessments, treatment notes, progress, and changes in status).
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other providers to coordinate care.
  • Adhere to ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards and demonstrate cultural sensitivity in patient interactions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
