We're actively seeking an Internal Medicine Physician to join our expanding Amelia Medical Associates team in Norfolk, VA. Just 10 minutes from the Virginia Beach oceanfront, this location offers the perfect blend of work-life balance, community connection, and rewarding practice.

Why You’ll Love This Role

• 100% Outpatient Practice – No Hospital Duties

• Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM

• No weekends

• Prefer 5x8s but open to flexible options

• 36 patient-facing hours + 4 hours admin

• Call:

• 1:4 weekly rotation – phone only, no Rx, no hospital call

• Patient Population:

• Adults 18+ only

• Average 17–22 patients/day after ramp-up

• Current Team:

• 2 MDs, 3 APCs – fun, collaborative, team-oriented environment

• Technology:

• EPIC EMR, MyChart telemedicine, DAX Copilot A/I which helps our providers to focus on their patients in real-time and minimizes after-hours patient charting

• On-Site Support:

• 1:1 CMA support

• On-site lab & X-ray

Compensation & Benefits

• Highly competitive base salary

• Incentives: Bonus potential based on wRVU productivity, quality goals, and APC collaboration

• Starting Bonus: Up to $35,000

• Student Loan Assistance available (must provide loan statement)

• Relocation: Up to $10,000 reimbursement (taxable benefit)

• CME: $10,000 annually

• 35 Paid Days Off (front-loaded)

Qualifications

• MD or DO, Board Eligible/Certified (ABMS/ABFM or ABIM)

• Completed U.S. Residency Program

• Authorized to work in the U.S.

The community is in a well established area located in the city of Norfolk, separated from Virginia Beach by one street.  The community operates in the Norfolk Public School System with a local population of about 21,096 people. It is close to shopping centers - only 4 miles from the Premium Outlets! and surrounding grocery stores. It is about 2 miles from the major interstates I-264 and I-64 and about 15 miles from Virginia Beach Oceanfront.  

We are located in a medical complex with a mix of primary care and specialty providers.  Our practice has a combination of Family and Internal Medicine patients, with a large Spanish-speaking panel.
