Requirements

• Active Physical Therapist license from the appropriate state licensing authority prior to start.
• Minimum 1 year of experience providing physical therapy to pediatric and/or school-aged populations.
• Experience providing PT services in public school settings under Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver PT services consistent with students’ IEP goals, assigned service minutes, and district calendar.
• Perform evaluations and re-evaluations to determine eligibility and guide therapy planning.
• Collaborate with IEP teams to interpret evaluation data, establish eligibility, and develop measurable goals and objectives.
• Participate in IEP meetings and submit required draft documentation at least 48 hours before the meeting.
• Monitor and document student progress; provide timely progress reports and end-of-year summaries.
• Maintain accurate, compliant documentation: therapy notes, service logs, Medicaid billing, and district-required reports. Bill only for services delivered within contracted time.
• Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, and other professional duties; follow district policies and coordinate with school personnel and administration.
