Location: Northampton, MA | Contract/Travel | Start: ASAP | Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: Sun–Sat, 08:00 AM–04:30 PM | Rate: Travel $2,244/35 hrs; Local $2,212/35 hrs

We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a 13-week contract in Northampton, MA. The ideal clinician will perform comprehensive evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to restore patient function and independence.

Required qualifications

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy state license
  • CPR/BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross (with AED)

Core responsibilities

  • Perform thorough assessments, review medical histories, and coordinate with providers to determine patient needs and goals
  • Create and implement individualized treatment plans and measurable rehabilitation goals
  • Design therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination
  • Deliver hands-on interventions (joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques, manual stretching) to enhance mobility and reduce pain
  • Administer therapeutic modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as indicated
  • Train patients in use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) and provide safe mobility instruction
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, home exercise programs, body mechanics, and injury prevention
  • Monitor, document, and adjust treatment based on patient progress; maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes
  • Develop and implement pain-management strategies using therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual techniques
  • Facilitate post-operative and post-injury recovery to maximize independence and quality of life
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care
  • Adhere to legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards; practice cultural sensitivity and patient-centered care
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
