Travel Contract Physical Therapist (PT) — Starkville, MS (14-Week, Full-Time)

Join a 14-week contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist in Starkville, MS, starting ASAP. Schedule: Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel rate $2,317/35 hrs; Local rate $2,282/35 hrs.

Requirements:

• Active Physical Therapy state license
• CPR/BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross (including AED)

Position overview:
Provide patient-centered rehabilitation through comprehensive assessment, goal-driven treatment planning, and hands-on and modality-based interventions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to restore function, reduce pain, and promote independence for patients recovering from injury, surgery, or illness.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform thorough evaluations, review medical history, and identify rehabilitation goals
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and home exercise programs
• Deliver therapeutic exercises and manual techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, stretching) to improve strength, mobility, coordination, and pain control
• Apply modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, and cold as indicated
• Instruct patients and families on assistive device use, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention
• Monitor and document patient progress; revise plans based on outcomes
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and adhere to legal/ethical standards
• Provide culturally sensitive care and perform other duties as assigned by management
